From the kitchen….
I’m a woman with ARFID who spent most of my childhood extremely anaemic, eating white bread, peeled grapes, and chicken nuggets. Food felt limited, predictable, and safest that way.
Now, in my mid-30s, I’m growing (hopefully, trying) my own fruit and vegetables on an allotment and gently experimenting with new recipes, tastes, and textures. This space isn’t about perfection but instead about curiosity, small expansions, and mild discomfort that comes with learning to meet food with a little more openness than fear.
